If there’s two things I don’t mind spending for, it’s food and athletic equipment.
A few months ago, I was scouring around for a yoga mat to replace my generic, non-branded trusty purple one from Toby’s. After a year and a half, my poor mat had gotten a good beating from my practice in the gym, at home, and on my trips abroad and out of town. I needed a substitute. Pronto.

CHOW CORNER Create a feeding area for your pup that’s separate from his sleeping nook, so he’ll know when it’s time to eat and when it’s time to sleep. Make sure he has access to clean drinking water round the clock. Never leave out food he hasn’t finished—you’ll expose it to bacteria and mess up his meal sched. |

PLAY SPACE Want to put a smile on your dog’s face? Give him a spot where he can play freely. Try marking it off with an area rug, and always initiate playtime there. Dogs love toys, but what they really enjoy is playing with them with you. |

SLEEP SPOT Choose a cozy corner for your puppy’s bed. He’ll feel safe nestled in a bed with a soft sidewall. Throw in a pillow or his fave toy for good measure—puppies love to snuggle! If you’re slipping him into PJs, make sure they fit right and are comfy. |

Picking a theme doesn’t necessarily mean choosing a particular style like “Zen” or “Moroccan.” It can be as simple as picking a color scheme for your space. This would make it easier for you to decide on what to put in your room and what to get rid of.
