An intense laser light emits a non-coherent broad-spectrum light. With each pulse, the procedure emits a spectrum extending from 500nm to 1200n. The light energy is customized for a given procedure.

Unwanted Hair.

The wavelength and energy level of laser light treatment are chosen to selectively damage targeted hair follicles with minimum damage to the surrounding tissue. The energy is absorbed by the hair follicles and causes thermal injury to the hair follicle. When the temperature reaches a certain level in a hair follicle during its active phase, the targeted hair structures are disabled, thus inhibiting hair re-growth. This process will eventually result to permanent hair reduction.

Acne Treatment.

An intense laser light treatment works by directing well-controlled pulses of light into the upper skin layer. The light is absorbed by the photosensitive bacteria present in acne. Done in conjunction with prescription medication, the laser light has been clinically proven to accelerate the healing process for acne.

Spider Veins.

For spider veins and dilated vessels, as seen in patients with rosacea, the light energy is absorbed by the hemoglobin and oxyhemoglobin, which can be found at the dermal capillary bed. This process selectively destroys the abnormal vessels. The laser light treatment is also effectiv in relieving the redness and flushing of the face usually associated with rosacea.

Pigmentation.

As skin ages, it becomes prone to pigmentation problems such as brown spots and age spots due to sun damage. To arrest these conditions, the energy is selectively absorbed by the melanin, which destroys the abnormally pigmented cells, resulting in a more even complexion.

Skin Rejuvenation.

The laser light treatment also effectively improves skin texture, fine lines, wrinkles, as well as reduces pore size, due to new collagen deposition in the dermis. A series of treatments with a particular wavelength can lead to deeper wrinkles and firming of sagging skin.
