You’re all grown up now—old enough to drive, or even to vote—but somehow, your bedroom hasn’t quite grown up with you. Maybe it’s time to retire those cutesy posters and dusty old stuffed toys, and turn your room into a space that reflects who you’ve become. This Christmas, why not ask your ‘rents for a room makeover? And ask your friends to chip in for some knickknacks, too! Giving your room a facelift is a great way to ring in the New Year! Don’t know where to begin? Here are a few things you might want to add to your Christmas shopping list!

Or, for that matter, a new bed. Ditch your twin bed for a roomier double or queen-size one (maybe the one your Ate left behind when she moved out?). And forget about covering all your pillows with a sheet—you don’t want your bed to look like it’s a got a dead body there! Instead, deck it out in a plump comforter and lots of pillows.
